Following an introductory seminar to Cuban music taught by Guillermo Céspedes, he discovered the different rhythms of the Caribbean and learned the “tumbao” technique on the piano. Later, he expanded his studies at the National Folkloric Ensemble in Havana, delving into Afro-Cuban rhythms. Since then, he began to collaborate with Cuban musicians living in Barcelona, incorporating rhythms such as son, bolero and cha cha cha into his songs.

In 2012 he was invited by the University of Guadalajara (Mexico) to participate in the Music Fair (FIM), making his first tour of that country, accompanied by Mexican musicians. On the tour he previews the songs from what will be his seventh album, “Aquello era entonces, esto es ahora” (“That was then, this is now”) (Rosazul, 2013).
In 2013 he presented it at the Barnasants Festival and on tour through 15 Spanish cities. In autumn he begins his second tour of Mexico, offering five concerts in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Metepec and Querétaro.
In February 2014, invited by the Barrio Colombia Foundation, he made his first tour of Colombia and Peru.
At the beginning of 2016 he released “No Más Canciones Tristes” where he approached Latin American folklore and presented in the main Spanish cities and on a new tour through Panama and Colombia.
In May, together with the singer Zaira Franco, she offers a showcase at the Exib Música Fair in Évora (Portugal) and performs in Lisbon with the fadista Carla Pires.
The song that gives the album its title is included in a compilation CD published by Amnesty International Catalunya.
